Its no secret that the Jets are looking down the barrel of a pretty terrible season, one of the high points for team so far has been the new, slimmer appearance of Rex Ryan. After two consecutive AFC Championship game appearances in the first two seaons under Ryan, the success of the team has disappeared, as has (some) of the coaches waistline. Im not really sure about the correlation between the two, so decide for yourself.
2009
Jets Season: 9-7, 2nd in AFC East, lost in AFC Championship game.

So, as you can see from the pictures rex is certainly slimmer than in 2009, the coach said that he weighed 348 pounds (!) in his first season with the Jets. Since undergoing lap band surgery in 2010, Ryan has dropped more than 105 pounds. You can see in this video that his mouth is just as big as it was in the first few years of his tenure with the Jets. Is Rex’s weight loss the reason for the Jets struggles? Probably not but its still a funny coincidence.
